Jack Ryder
Jack, a former sponsored skateboarder with three decades of experience, brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. His experience teaching skateboarding to children with challenging behaviours make him an invaluable asset to SḴŦAḴ/Mayne Island's skateboarding scene. His passion for skateboarding, combined with his own experiences as a parent, positions him as a key advocate for creating vital spaces for the next generation.

Harriet Ryder
Harriet, mother and SḴŦAḴ/Mayne Island resident, passionate about transforming the island's recreational landscape through skateboarding. With her Carpentry background, she brings a unique blend of passion and practical know-how to the project. Her hands-on approach and understanding of the project's logistics are key assets in creating a brighter, more active future for all island families.

Jess Shotton
Jess is driven by the belief that connection is the foundation of community. In bringing people together, Jess is equipped with her eclectic experience in Marketing, Tourism, Event Planning and Kids Recreation (she used to coach children how to throw axes!) Jess can’t wait to build and foster a vibrant, inclusive and energetic culture at MISC, where diverse individuals can come together to thrive.

Jenn Cassidy
As a longtime SḴŦAḴ/Mayne Island resident and a mother of two young children, Jenn is deeply invested in developing more opportunities for outdoor recreation for the islands youth and the community as a whole. She believes that a skate park would be a great addition to the island, both for promoting a healthy, active lifestyle, and for serving as a social hub for community building.

Jenny Ritter
Jenny is a working artist, musician and mum on SḴŦAḴ/Mayne Island. She’s a committed community organizer with many years of experience producing events for various musical and artistic endeavors. A daily skateboarder through her teens, Jenny developed a deep dedication to public space and time spent outdoors. She aims to bring this energy to the endeavours of MISC, and all the wheels it serves!
