Frequently Asked Questions

How does an All-Wheels skatepark get built?

Building a skatepark takes special expertise, so we’re planning to partner with a professional skatepark construction company. These are experts who can guide us through everything – from design all the way to building – to ensure we create a safe, fun, and lasting space for everyone.

I love the idea of an All-Wheels skatepark but where would it go?

We have not yet determined the location for the All-Wheels skatepark. At this stage, we are focused on community engagement. We will work with the SḴŦAḴ/Mayne Island community to find the right location.

How much would the All-Wheels skatepark cost?

Since we don’t yet have a confirmed location, it’s tough to put an exact number on the cost. What we do know is that building a quality skatepark is a significant investment, and we’re planning ahead by organizing fundraisers and applying for grants to help cover construction expenses.

I want to know more about your skateboarding lessons. How do I book?

We are working on getting instructors certified with Canada Skateboard. We hope to start offering lessons in late summer/early fall 2025. Membership with MISC is required to book lessons. Sign up for our membership to keep in the loop!
